Whistleblower Policy
Whistleblower Policy
Love Foundation is committed to operating with integrity, transparency, and accountability. This Whistleblower Policy is intended to encourage and enable employees, volunteers, board members, and other representatives to report concerns regarding suspected misconduct without fear of retaliation.
Reporting Concerns
Individuals are encouraged to report any good faith concerns regarding illegal, unethical, or improper conduct. This may include, but is not limited to, financial misconduct, fraud, misuse of funds or resources, violations of laws or regulations, conflicts of interest, or any behavior that could harm the organization or those it serves.
Reports may be made to a member of leadership, a board member, or through a designated confidential reporting channel established by Love Foundation.
Good Faith Requirement
All reports must be made in good faith, meaning the individual has a reasonable belief that the information disclosed is true. Reports made maliciously or with knowingly false information may result in disciplinary action.
Confidentiality
Love Foundation will make every effort to maintain the confidentiality of the individual reporting a concern, to the extent possible, while conducting a thorough investigation.
Non-Retaliation
Love Foundation strictly prohibits retaliation against any individual who, in good faith, reports a concern or participates in an investigation. Retaliation includes, but is not limited to, harassment, discrimination, adverse actions, or any form of intimidation. Any individual found to have engaged in retaliation will be subject to disciplinary action.
Investigation and Resolution
All reports will be taken seriously and reviewed promptly. Appropriate steps will be taken to investigate concerns in a fair and impartial manner. If wrongdoing is found, corrective action will be taken in accordance with applicable laws and organizational policies.
Compliance
This policy is intended to comply with applicable federal and state laws, including protections outlined under the Sarbanes-Oxley Act and other relevant regulations governing nonprofit organizations.
